Get Your Panties in a Bunch!
When: Saturday, March 6, 12:00-1:30
Where: CityScape Ballroom, 3rd floor, Radisson Downtown Fargo
Cost: $11 plus a package or more of new panties
Why: Girls in Southern Sudan can’t go to school after they get their periods because they don’t have underwear or hygiene products. Please join us for lunch to hear more about this and other issues affecting young women in Southern Sudan. Speakers include Joseph Akol Makeer and Deb Dawson from African Soul American Heart.
Please bring a package (or more!) of underwear in sizes no bigger than women’s medium (these girls are tall, but thin). We’ll deliver them to young women of Duk Payuel, Southern Sudan, Joseph’s hometown. If you are unable to attend, we accept donations online or by mail.
